EZ Diamonds is headquartered in the Diamond Exchange in Ramat Gan, Israel. Company facilities and offices around the world are located in New York, Belgium, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
In 2012, Goldenwest International owned by Bill Doddridge has bought 25% of EZ Diamond's shares.
In 2009, Philippe created EZ Diamonds, a private company wholly owned by the Zivan-Susshold family. The third generation of the Susshold family continues its active involvement in the company and within the industry.
The 2000s have seen a number of important changes.
In 2003, the company changed its name to YEI (Yahalomei ESPEKA International) and opened a new facility in China. Employing more than 2,500 highly skilled workers, the China facilities are among the largest, most technologically advanced polishing plants in the world.
In 1999, ESPEKA Diamonds Israel was named Israel's Outstanding Diamond Exporter.
Throughout the 1990s, ESPEKA Diamonds Israel continued to make strides within the industry. The company joined forces with a sophisticated manufacturing facility in China and opened offices in New York, Belgium, and Hong Kong. During this decade, the Barak Manager Software became the industry standard, and the ESPEKA language was renamed the EZ Code.
Under Philippe, the company introduces computerized management systems, such as the Barak Diamond Manager, which becomes an industry-wide standard. In addition, its ESPEKA Language is further developed as the ESPEKA CODE. Today known as the EZ Code, it offers a sophisticated yet simple method for precision picking and sorting way beyond industry standards, ensuring clients receive precisely the size and quality diamonds they want.
In 1988, ESPEKA Diamonds Israel became a Diamond Trading Company (DTC) sightholder.
Philippe's first innovation is to help develop the ESPEKA Language, a convenient way of coding diamonds for clarity, color and size.
In 1982, second-generation family member Philippe Zivan-Sussholz joined ESPEKA Diamonds Israel and quickly established himself as a driving force for innovation and technological advancement in the diamond industry. Among his accomplishments, Philippe invented the Barak Manager Software and the Espeka Language, a proprietary method of coding diamonds according to color, clarity, and size.
Avraham immigrated to Israel and established Yahalomei ESPEKA Israel (ESPEKA Diamonds Israel).
EZ Diamonds has its roots in the ESPEKA diamond company, founded in Belgium by Avraham Sussholz and partners Osias Pruwer and Joseph Kaufman in 1960.
